I love this time of year when we are starting to cozy down for the Winter and all the new Season trends start to arrive in store. It’s also a great time to review your skin needs, and of course keep up with new Season looks in make-up. So, let’s get started on what’s trending for Autumn/Winter.

Skin Prime Time
Skin is forever in, but this Season it’s all about the preparation. Rather than reaching for your heavy foundation to achieve your look, instead focus on spending time creating the perfect base. Makeup artists are spending more time layering moisturizers, primers and strobe creams to give a truly healthy radiance to the individuals’ complexion. To achieve this look at home, check out the Superprimer Collection from Clinique, and in particular the Universal Primer, which is suitable for all skin types, and will smooth and correct the skin, creating the ideal makeup canvas.

Rebel Rebel
Dramatic smoky eyes, glam punk and a rebel spirit permeated the Fashion Week’ inspiring makeup looks for the Autumn/Winter Season. It’s a look not for the fainthearted, but certainly achievable if you want to go for a softer look with plenty of kohl liner smudged around the lash line. Create a smoky look using the SoSu Hot Fire Palette or the Blank Canvas Master Series Palette One, paired with a the Rimmel kohl pencil in Black.

Glitterbug
If you thought Spring/Summer 2018’s glitter trend was a one-Season trend, then think again! This look is always around somewhere, with a subtle sheen or a full-on sparkle. Pro-Tip: Pat on your glitter or highlighter using your fingertips at the top of your cheekbones and at the top of your brow to create the desired shimmer that’s right for you! Super Lashes
During Autumn/Winter, if you’re going to wear mascara, wear a lot of it! Fluttering full lashes are the focus of the Season, with catwalks sporting ultra-feminine beauty looks. Complete the look with glowing, dewy skin and a dab of lip balm to keep your look simple and modern. You really need to try the new mascara from Chanel amazing full on lashes, and one of my favorites in Grandiôse by Lancôme.

Paintbox Brights
This may be Autumn makeup, but that doesn’t mean it’s without a bold bolt of color! Both eye shadow and eyeliner can add a pop of color to your look separately or matching the colors. A special mention goes to hot pink, yellow and green, hues which cropped up most frequently backstage and on the runways. If you are bold enough to try this look, keep an eye out for our new Lancôme x Proenza Schouler Fall 2018 Collection. The eye palette is coming soon and features 10 shades, everything from orange, bold pink to blue and brown. For lip color experiment with sunset pinks, reds or coral shades.

Power Lips
My all-time favourite, the red lippy is hard to beat, and is around once again this Season. With many designers drawing from conversations surrounding women’s empowerment, it comes as no surprise that an array of powerful bold lips showcased on many runways following suit. Scarlet pouts made a bold statement at many shows, and personally I am delighted that the trend is here to stay again! Recreate the look with Estee Lauder Drop Dead Red Shade 320, or Elizabeth Arden Red Door Red Shade 01.
